Dave Evans has offered to step in and replace AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson after it was revealed that he could no longer perform live.

The musician, who was band’s original lead vocalist back in 1974, has offered to make a guest appearance on their tour.

He told the Sydney Morning Herald: “'It would be nice to do one guest performance [with AC/DC]. [Former members] were all part of the band no matters what era they were from.”

Evans’ offer comes after AC/DC announced that they would be postponing their tour as Johnson was at risk of suffering ‘total hearing loss’.
