Cancer scare for Ozzy's daughter

The 21-year-old daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne is having treatment for suspected breast cancer.

Aimee Osbourne pulled out of the London production of The Vagina Monologues alongside her mother, who is recovering from colon cancer, six days ago to see doctors in Los Angeles.

Aimee, the only member of the family not to appear in the hit MTV reality show The Osbournes, found a lump in her breast earlier this year and it was successfully removed.

But complications arose soon after and she was told last week that she needed additional treatment.

A source close to the family said: 'Aimee has had the lump removed and is waiting for test results at the moment, which is obviously very worrying for her.

'There have been some complications which required further treatment but the prognosis is good.'

Her illness is the latest setback for the family since they agreed to let cameras film their every move for the show in 2002.

Last night, Sharon said: 'Aimee's had a breast cancer scare. She found a lump on her breast which she's had removed.

'The operation went very well on the whole - but there have been a few minor complications and she will be having more treatment and lots of rest over the next few weeks. We're sure she'll make a complete recovery.

'Health really is the most important thing in life - after the 12 months we've had, no one realises that more than me.'

Sharon, 52, was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002, but recovered after chemotherapy. But there have since been more problems to deal with.

In the past year, the couple's youngest two children Kelly, 20, and Jack, 19, have gone into rehab for treatment for drug addiction.

Birmingham-born Ozzy, 56, also reverted to his drink and drug habit, although he has been clean for the past 11 months. In December 2003, the former Black Sabbath singer nearly died twice after crashing a quad bike in the grounds of his £3million Buckinghamshire estate.
