It was a stunt which earned the wrath of family values campaigners

But Janet Jackson exposing her breast on live TV has now earned a
record fine for the network which broadcast her 'wardrobe malfunction' during this year's Super Bowl show.

CBS, which broadcast the half-time show, was fined £300,000 by the
Federal Communications Commission.

The commission voted unanimously to impose the maximum fine of £15,000 on each
of the 20 CBS-owned television stations which carried the footage.

Jackson's nipple was exposed to 90million viewers when singer Justin Timberlake ripped off a piece of her top during a duet.

More than 500,000 people complained about the incident.
