Been at the fake tan again, Gav?

There seems to be something about basking in Charlotte Church's reflected glory which makes the skin change colour.

Either that, or rugby star Gavin Henson has been overdoing it with the fake tan.

Henson, 23, looked a garish shade of orange on a night out with his multi-millionairess girlfriend.

By contrast, 19-year-old Charlotte's lightly-rouged cheeks appeared positively anaemic. As the couple, dubbed the Posh and Becks of Wales, arrived at a VIP screening of a film about George Michael entitled A Different Story, the contrast in their appearance caused great amusement among the audience.

'I think it's a safe bet to say that most of the men and women who are big George Michael fans have experimented with fake tan at some stage - but he looked ridiculous,' said a fellow filmgoer at the London event.

'Her face was china white and she looked as if she was trying hard to seem classy. But that's a bit tricky when you're stepping out with someone who could be David Dickinson's love child.

'What made it even worse was that if you looked carefully, right near his hairline you could see his natural skin colour. People were pointing and laughing. I can't believe Charlotte let him go out like that.' Henson, who shares a house in Cardiff with Charlotte, was the star of last year's grand slam-winning Welsh rugby team. He played every game wearing silver boots, with streaks of bright red dye in his hair.

Also at the film screening was the subject himself, George Michael.

He revealed that he had asked Andrew Ridgeley to re-form their 1980s duo Wham for a lucrative series of concerts.

'I've asked him to do a reunion tour with me, but he's not interested,' he admitted.
