Becks finds his Real estate

More than a year after making his move to Real Madrid, David Beckham has finally bought a family home in Spain.

The soccer star and his wife Victoria agreed the asking price of £3.5million for the mansion on the outskirts of the Spanish capital.

The four-storey property has five bedrooms, a games room, an outdoor pool and a tennis court. There are lawns and nearly two acres of woodland within its boundary, marked by a 6ft wall. A source close to the family said: 'It's very cosy, with well-appointed rooms and plenty of land for the kids to run around in.'

The purchase comes days after Victoria, 30, said she planned to have her third child in Spain. The baby is due in March.

Their eldest son Brooklyn, five, is expected to start at an English-speaking school in Madrid this month. His brother Romeo turned two yesterday.

The move follows a year of turmoil for the couple after Beckham's alleged affair with personal assistant Rebecca Loos. It prompted Victoria to announce that she and the children would move to Spain from their Hertfordshire home, known as Beckingham Palace.

Her husband, 29, has been living in hotels and short-lease houses since his switch from Manchester United last year.
