Beatles suits outstrip Elvis

Four Beatles suits worn for the Please Please Me album cover fetched more than £60,000 in a two-day sale of memorabilia in Los Angeles.

The auction by Bonhams and Butterfields, which raised a total of £593,000, included a batch of Elvis Presley's earliest RCA recordings from nearly 50 years ago, withdrawn after they failed to meet the minimum asking price.
