Bacall hits out at 'no talent' stars

Lauren Bacall has hit out at women with 'minuscule talent' for sacrificing their marriages for the sake of their careers.

The actress, who has starred in 55 films since her debut in 1944, said too many women want to 'have it all'. Today's actors 'only think of stardom', she told the Radio Times.

Actresses were 'anorexic-looking' and all looked the same, she added - while their entourages were 'such a nightmare'.

Bacall, 80, who was married to Humphrey Bogart and Jason Robards, said: 'I put my career in second place throughout both my marriages and it suffered. I don't regret it. If you want a good marriage, you must pay attention to that. If you want to be independent, go ahead. You can't have it all.'
