Baby tipped to knock out Hughes

Clint Eastwood's boxing drama Million Dollar Baby is being tipped to knock out its main rival, Martin Scorsese's The Aviator, at the Academy Awards.

The films are competing for the best director and best picture Oscars.

Eastwood, 74, has also been nominated for his performance as fight manager Frankie Dunn.

His costar Hilary Swank is tipped for best actress at Sunday's ceremony.
