Anthea gets a boob job

Here's something she never showed us how to do on Blue Peter. Anthea Turner has had her breasts enlarged - to boost her self-confidence.

The 44-year- old presenter, who was once one of television's golden girls but now rarely graces our screens, treated herself to implants after years of dissatisfaction at her relatively flat chest.

She showed off her new look, which would have cost up to £3,000, in an orange bikini as she soaked up the sun on her £ 1million yacht off Majorca.

A friend said yesterday: 'Anthea has never been happier.

She always wanted a cleavage. Anthea is delighted with the results and says she has changed her whole wardrobe.

'She is now much happier wearing revealing tops and feels much more confident.

'She says it is one of the best decisions of her life.'

Miss Turner, who recently revealed she has given up hope of having children after five unsuccessful attempts at IVF treatment, is staying on the Sunseeker Predator yacht she bought with second husband Grant Bovey two years ago. The couple keep the vessel moored on Majorca and rent it out for £18,000 a week.

As well as Blue Peter, Miss Turner also once presented a host of popular programmes including the National Lottery show and GMTV.

These days she devotes a lot of her time to helping her 43-year- old husband with his expanding property development company.

She also freelances for television and newspapers on various projects, and has recently been in Dubai working on the Channel 4 show Celebrity Place In The Sun.

Miss Turner was still married to former DJ Peter Powell when she fell for Bovey in 1998 while Bovey was still married to his first wife Della.

The millionaire businessman left his wife and their three girls and moved into Miss Turner's marital home in Twickenham, South-West London, while Powell moved out.

Four months later Bovey returned to the family home, saying he had been missing his children too much to stay away.
