The Princess of Wales has made her first appearance at the 2026 Wimbledon Championships. Kate Middleton began her day in SW19 by greeting fellow tennis fans in the famous queue, before watching a game on the grounds courts with former tennis pro Tim Henman.
Serving up a masterclass in smart summer dressing – and sartorial inspiration if you’re attending Wimbledon yourself – the princess wore a linen blue trouser suit from Gabriela Hearst.
Wearing her hair up during London’s enduring heatwave, the princess returned to her favourite summer accessory: a pair of Ralph Lauren cat-eye sunglasses. Distinguished by their oversized, classic silhouette, Kate last wore the sunnies during the Wimbledon final in 2025.
As patron of the All England Lawn and Tennis Club, Kate presents the trophies to the champions and runners-up each year at Wimbledon. This year, however, she joined in the fun earlier, posing for selfies in the grounds and even scanning spectator tickets at the entry office.

These Ralph Lauren frames strike a balance between cool and classic. Characterised by their oversized cat-eye shape, the gradient brown lenses and tortoise shell frame create a timeless look. A reliable summer staple, the tonal frames are crafted from acetate for a lightweight and comfortable fit.
The beauty of these sunglasses is their versatility – Kate’s worn hers with everything from suits and elegant midi dresses to jeans and knitwear. A winner for your Wimbledon and summer wardrobe, the frames cost less than £100.
