Aldi launches its first three litre bottle of Prosecco just in time for Christmas

Lovers of Prosecco will know that, when shared amongst friends, a bottle never goes very far.

This means you’re either constantly running back and forth to the fridge (it’s a hard life) or running out to the local corner shop, where prices are hiked for the luxury of convenience.

Thankfully, after the success of its magnum wine range, Aldi has come to the rescue by announcing that it will be launching a jeroboam of the nation’s favourite fizz - that’s a three litre bottle to you and I - just in time for Christmas.

Priced at just £39.99, the jeroboam is the equivalent size of four bottles or 24 glasses– perfect for a Christmas do or particularly raucous dinner party.

The size isn’t all this bottle has got going for it, though. It’s filled with the supermarket’s DOCG Prosecco from the Italian region of Veneto, which is a light bubbly with an 11 per cent ABV, a “fresh citrus” nose and a “soft sherbet taste,”

Thanks to the great price point, these super-sized bottles are set to be a sure fire hit.

Forget birthdays and Bonfire Night – the only date you need in your diary this season is November 14, when the Prosecco Jeroboam DOCG launches in store.
