Toddler found floating face-down in pool saved by police officers in ‘miracle’ rescue

When Robert Lindblom and Kyle Skipper, of Pensacola Police in Florida, arrived at the house, they found the three-year-old unresponsive.

Mr Linblom said that when he first saw the child’s “purple and blue” skin, he felt sure it was too late to save her.

He told local news channel WBTV: "To be honest, my first thought was there was no way we were gonna bring her back. I thought for sure she was gone," he said.

"When I saw her take a breath, I really just thought it was a miracle.”

He and his colleague administered CPR before rushing the child to hospital.

Doctors said she would have died if her rescuers had got there any later, according to the US broadcaster.

Bodycam footage of the heart-stopping incident was shared on Facebook by the police department following the incident on June 13.

The child has not been named but she is said to have made a full recovery.
