According to the European Space Agency, Major Peake will unpack cargo from a spacecraft, spend an hour on the exercise bike and take part in a Canadian experiment called Marrow, investigating the effects of radiation on bone marrow.
Major Peake was blasted into space from Kazakhstan on Tuesday in a 50-metre-high, 2,000 tonnne Russian-built Soyuz rocket.
The mission marks the culmination of six years of planning since Major Peake, a 43-year-old father of two from Chichester, was chosen to join the European Space Agency’s astronaut corps.
