It comes after notorious hacking group Anonymous declared “war” on the terrorists in the wake of the Paris massacre.
In a video released after the Paris atrocities, a man in a trademark Guy Fawkes mask warned jihadis: “Anonymous from all over the world will hunt you down.
“You should know that we will find you and we will not let you go. We will launch the biggest operation ever against you.
“Expect massive cyber attacks. War is declared. Get prepared.”
So-called “hacktivists” like Anonymous have faced criticism for potentially hampering the work of security services with their cyber attacks on terrorists.
However, Home Office security minister John Hayes this week gave his backing after being asked what he thought of their efforts at the House of Commons.
He told the home affairs committee on Tuesday: “I am grateful for any of those who are engaged in the battle against this kind of wickedness."
