Writer’s suicide after Viagra row

A London-based writer and photographer killed himself on Valentine’s Day three days after a row with his girlfriend about using Viagra, an inquest heard today.

James Andrews, 24, of Finsbury Park, was hit by a train between Bristol and Bath just hours after posting a message on Twitter to his friends revealing he had been “really down” and adding: “I wish every single one of you a long and happy life. I love you.”

Eleanor Sharpe, a dancer with the English National Ballet, told the inquest in Bristol the couple split after “I found out that he had lied to me about taking Viagra”.

Assistant coroner Terence Moore recorded a verdict of suicide.
