One of the most recent bombshells to hit Love Island is Danica Taylor, who shook up the villa in a shocking recoupling.

Danica is one of four female bombshells to enter the villa, as well as Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu, Afia Tonkmore and Antigoni Buxton.

But who is the latest contestant ready to mix up ITV2’s summer of love?

Who is Danica Taylor?

Danica Taylor is a 21-year-old dancer from Leicester.

She said now is “the perfect time,” to enter Love Island, having just finished her university degree and having been single for a year.

Danica explained why she’s currently single, and said: “My last relationship I was in for quite a long time, but he wasn’t meeting what I needed in a relationship.

“I need someone who can match my energy. I am an extrovert and in my previous relationship he was very introverted so we didn’t meet on a level.”

Her mum would describe her as “a bit of a princess, a bit dramatic and always thinks [she is] right,” while her friends would she doesn’t “hide from drama or arguments.”

Danica says they would describe her as “a good friend,” adding she’s “very good with advice.”

The 21-year-old believes she is “quite wise beyond [her] years,” and has “a slight maturity” about her.

Before heading into the villa, Danica said: “I don’t really see competition, I am a very self-assured girl, I know myself, I know what I bring to the table and there are stunning girls in that Villa but I back myself.

“There’s obviously going to be competition because there are guys in there that I like that are already interested in other girls but I have no fear that I won’t be able to turn heads and I am happy to step on a few toes.”

She proved that she was happy to step on toes when she chose to couple up with Luca Bish (who was happily coupled up with Gemma Owen) in a shocking recoupling.

Love Island is on every day at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV hub. Episodes are available the following morning on Britbox.
