Solange speaks about ‘that’ Jay-Z elevator incident

Solange Knowles has finally broken her silence over the leaked footage of her altercation with Jay-Z.

Solange was caught physically attacking her sister Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z at the NYC’s Standard Hotel on May 5 in Manhattan’s Meatpacking district, which sparked rumours that all is not well with Queen B and the rapper’s relationship.

In an interview with Lucky Magazine, where she posed as the cover-girl in a yellow and black Alexander Wang dress, the singer and sister of superstar Beyoncé commented on the incident which she referred to as ‘that thing’.

“What’s important is that my family and I are all good,” she said. “What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."

The family released a joint statement on May 14 after the elevator footage had been leaked to the world confirming that any issues had been resolved, “We love each other and, above all, we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

The family were seen a few days later at lunch in New Orleans where Solange resides. Beyoncé posted pictures from the lunch on her Instagram account clearly showing the world that any problems had been resolved.

Jay-Z was present at the lunch as was his and Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy, Solange’s son Daniel and Tina Knowles, mother to the singing sisters.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé are currently on their On- the- Run Tour which has brought about more controversy with rumours of Jay-Z cheating on his diva wife. Solange’s interview didn’t quite unveil the mystery behind the incident. Was this the real reason why Solange lashed out?
