Prince Harry sends students wild by pulling out the 'dab' at Scottish university

Prince Harry left students open-mouthed when he pulled off a popular American hip-hop dance move while on a university visit.

Harry, who celebrated his 32nd birthday last week, performed the ‘dab’ as he attended a youth sports initiative at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen on Tuesday.

Pictures show youngsters were left stunned when the royal pulled out the move, which involves simultaneously dropping the head while swinging an arm to the side.

Known as the ‘dab’, it was made famous by US rappers after it originated in Atlanta and the craze has crossed the Atlantic to the UK where it is performed by Premier League footballers as a goal celebration.

Dressed in a blue open-necked shirt with rolled-up sleeves and navy trousers, Harry showcased his sporting prowess with a game of mini-tennis, street hockey and one-on-one football known as Panna KO.

He also spoke at a youth mentor training event in Stonehaven and met winners of The Diana Award, in memory of his mother.

While at the event he revealed a sergeant at Sandhurst had helped him come to terms with her death.
