Stuart Osborn, associate director in JLL’s student housing team, said rents for digs are expected to jump by as much as four per cent for the 2017-18 academic year.
He said: “While students continue to seek higher education in times of economic uncertainty, strong demand and the general undersupply of stock will remain.”
