It's minted: the £12,000 Christmas pudding

The Royal Mint and celebrity baker Jane Asher have created a very special Christmas pudding

The pudding contains five 22 carat gold £5 sovereign coins worth £1,900 each and 30 silver sixpences - along with the traditional other ingredients such as currants and candied peel. And the good news? One lucky person can buy the pudding - if they have £12,000 to spare, that is.

The pudding weighs 1.7kg and is enough for 30 people (with normal appetites). It has been made to a 200-year-old secret family recipe, the Royal Mint says - well you'd expect nothing less at that price.
