Irish mattress salesman 'Mattress Mick' fulfils dream of releasing bizarre pop single

A mattress salesman and internet sensation has fulfilled his lifetime ambition of releasing a pop single.

The track, called ‘Back With a Bang: The Mattress Song’ features Irish mattress seller Michael Flynn, also known as Mattress Mick, and former contestant of the voice Kerry-Lee Dermott.

Mick’s mattress sales videos became a viral hit for their "innovative methods" - and the bizarre clip footage shows the salesman accompanied by dancing girls and mattresses, while Mick sings the lyric “The fun don’t stop at the mattress shop".

The video was made on a tight budget with help from Paul Kelly of Shoot Audition Studio who originally devised the Mattress Mick campaign

Paul Kelly said: "It has been a struggle no doubt, but a lot of fun to work with Mattress Mick, The whole crew, our Director of Photography, Cainneach Mac Eoin and all of the great extras who gave up their time to see this project into fruition.”
