Forget fry-ups, hair of the dog or black coffee to cure a hangover. Research suggests the best remedy is a can of Sprite.

Chinese scientists tested 57 beverages, including cleansing herbal teas, and found the lemon and lime fizzy drink performed best at relieving alcohol-induced nausea and headaches.
