She told the Standard: “We’re an animal hospital that deals with thousands of cases where animals have been cruelly treated but you never get used to it.
“Obviously this case was particularly shocking but unfortunately you do have to learn to deal with it."
She said the charity believes the geese were shot with marbles from a catapult by a young attacker or attackers.

Ms Schwar added she didn’t expect the culprits to be caught after they fled the scene on May 24.
She said: “It’s just one of those really sad events but it is really sickening, particularly the ones that were alive when we got there because we tried everything to save them. It was heartbreaking.”
Essex Police confirmed they have launched an investigation into the incident at the South Ockendon park.
