David Beckham's latest transfer... to London

David Beckham is poised to return to London and could commute to Monaco if he joins the club there.

The star plays his last game for LA Galaxy tomorrow and his wife Victoria has already started hunting for a school in west London for their children.

Beckham, 37, is opening talks with AS  Monaco next week which could mean him jetting between London and the principality.

Victoria, 38, and the couple’s sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, and Cruz, seven, looked around the £6,000-a-term Harrodian School in Barnes this week.

They spent an hour examining the facilities on offer at the school, whose former pupils include Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, and which was originally a country club for Harrods staff.

Tomorrow, LA Galaxy play in the MLS cup final, after which Beckham will start talks with the French second division club’s officials.

On Thursday, the football star hinted that he and his family could return to Britain after five years in America.

He said: “I played for Manchester United, so I couldn’t see myself playing for any other Premiership team. I think we’ll spend more time in England because it’s good for our kids to see their grandparents.”
