Danny Cipriani thanks paramedics after being hit by bus

Rugby player Danny Cipriani has thanked paramedics who came to his aid after he was hit by a double-decker bus while on an end of season pub crawl.

Cipriani, 25, who dates model Kelly Brook, 33, suffered a concussion and was taken to hospital for X-rays after being struck as he ran across a road in Leeds.

He was out drinking with team mates and was wearing face paint as part of a fancy dress costume when he was hit by the vehicle, which was left with damage to its windscreen.

He joked on Twitter “Feel like I’ve been hit by a bus”, later adding: “Big thank you to the paramedics doctors nurses and Kylie the policewoman - made a scary situation go smoothly.”

He also thanked fans for sending messages of support, adding: “Brightened up my day. Early night for me.”
