Long delays as M4 closed westbound from London due to vehicle fire

The M4 motorway was closed westbound tonight after a car accident.

Commuters heading out of London faced long delays after the motorway was shut between junctions two and three.

But Transport for London confirmed this evening that the road had been reopened after the accident was cleared.

It tweeted: "The elevated M4 has RE-OPENED. Residual Qs [sic] are clearing quickly."
