The Circle line will shut completely for the entire weekend, TfL has confirmed.
No trains at all will run on the orbital route while works are carried out for Crossrail.
TfL said there would be “no service on the entire line to allow us to carry out track, drainage and Crossrail work between Farringdon and Liverpool Street”.
One cheery London viewed the closure as symbolic.

The Metropolitan line as well as the Hammersmith and City line will also shut east of King’s Cross St Pancras. The District line is to close from Tower Hill to Upminster.
