The brilliant Isabel Dedring, the driving force behind ArupGlobal and the former Deputy Mayor for Transport, is dedicated to making London’s transportation efficient and environmentally friendly. She joined Arup in 2016 to help the firm of designers, planners, engineers, architects, consultants, and technical specialists, work to design and engineer ambitious structures.

Highflyer Cruz started with American Airlines working with them in London and then became the founding chief executive of low-cost airline Clickair. The Spaniard from Bilbao became CEO of BA in April 2016 when he moved on to bigger, better and more British things.

Chairman of Heathrow Airport
A former Goldman Sachs banker, Deighton as chief executive of the London organising committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games was instrumental to the success of the 2012 London Olympics. In 2016 the keen sportsman became chairman of Heathrow Airport, promising to give passengers “the best airport service in the world.” Last year he also accepted the position of chairman of the board of The Economist Group.

Haines has been working tirelessly for the past year, since his appointment to CEO, to reshape London’s railways. His reputation for cost-cutting has earned him praise and he continues to transform the system.

The previous Commissioner of TFL has been working to keep London running since 1975. Hendy was appointed a CBE in 2006 for his work in keeping London running during the 7 July bombings.
