Now Amazon could track “one or both of the inventory system worker’s hands” allowing them to be instructed where an item should go.
Managers would then receive confirmation the product was put in the right place and give “suitable haptic feedback to the worker”.
The patent revealed the bracelets would be “configured to monitor performance” and Bluetooth or infrared could be used via the bracelet to indicate “one or more directions in which the worker should move (their) respective hand”.
The patent even suggests workers could wear more than one bracelet on each wrist giving differing buzzes and including LED lights and a screen. Amazon declined to comment.
