Topshop today launched a range of accessories incorporating Barclaycard contactless payment technology.
Designs with swipeable bPay chips inside them include wristbands, smartphone cases, key chains and smart stickers.
The chip is linked to a digital wallet, which can be topped up via a mobile app, so customers can swipe to pay at contactless terminals.
The accessories are available in a metallic snake design and a fish print.
It comes as the limit for contactless payments was increased to £30.
According to the UK Cards Association, more than £2.5 billion was spent using contactless cards in the first half of 2015, compared to £2.32 billion in 2014.
Tami Hargreaves, commercial director at Barclaycard said: “This is a really exciting partnership with Topshop marks the first time that our bPay chip is being incorporated into a product range from a major fashion retailer.
“The collaboration shows how the worlds of fashion and technology can combine to create a stylish and easy new way for people to pay using contactless, for everyday things.”
