Three children among five injured in Kilburn coach crash

Three children were among five people injured in a bus crash in north London today.

Police said two coaches carrying children aged five and six collided with each other as well as a van in Mapesbury Road.

Three children and two adults, including the van driver, were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the crash, close to the junction with Shoot Up Hill.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 3.02pm today to reports of a road traffic collision in Mapesbury Road, junction of Shoot up Hill, NW2.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew and two fast responders by car. We treated five people– three children and two adults – at the scene for minor injuries. We remain at the scene.”

A police spokeswoman said enquiries were ongoing.
