Sprawling Mayfair mansion converted into £14.95m 'Scandi-house'

The Mayfair mansion of a former Conservative MP who entertained Sir Winston Churchill has been converted into a £14.95 million 'Scandi' inspired house.

The five-storey townhouse in Green Street, originally built in 1915, was owned by Sir Frederick Mills, who supplied steel to the British Navy during World War I and later became MP for Leyton between 1931 and 1945.

The sprawling mansion was sold in 2006 to the current owners who decided to use their love of Scandinavia to redecorate the home.

The Scandinavian inspired features include Appalachian bleached Oak floorboards, full height doors, glass atrium and open plan dressing and bathrooms to the bedroom suites.

The 5,638 sq ft home has six bedrooms on the upper three floors, which each of the landing areas turned into libraries complete with ladders to reach the high shelves.
