Sephora is opening two new stores in London this summer, it has been announced.

The beauty and makeup retailer will open a store on Carnaby Street in Soho and Old Spitalfields Market on July 23 and 30 this year.

Unlike existing stores in Westfield, these shops will be smaller and more intimate, offering customers a boutique-style experience.

It comes as the beauty giant is set to open its doors in Scotland for the first time, with a new store in St James’s Quarter, Edinburgh on July 9.

A new store in Glasgow’s Silverburn shopping centre will open on August 13.

Sephora UK managing director Sarah Boyd said: “This summer marks a major milestone in Sephora UK’s journey as we continue to bring our unique beauty experience to more communities across the country.

“We’re incredibly excited to be opening our first stores in Scotland, giving beauty lovers access to some of the world’s most sought-after brands and exclusive products for the very first time.”

Sephora has surged in popularity in the UK following its return to the high street in October 2022.

The retailer has given makeup fans access to viral brands that were previously hard to find, including Haus Labs, Tarte Cosmetics and Makeup by Mario.

Sarah added: “We’re proud to be introducing our new boutique format in London, a concept shaped directly by customer feedback and designed to complement the way people shop today.

“Whether customers are looking for a destination beauty experience or a quick beauty discovery on the go, our ambition remains the same – to inspire, educate and empower through an inclusive and innovative retail experience.”
