Second arrest made over fatal stabbing in North London

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in North West London have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

The 21-year-old was arrested following a warrant in Wandsworth today (Saturday, May 30).

The man was taken to hospital as a precaution due to existing stabs wounds and will be transferred to custody following treatment.

The arrest comes days after the apprehension of a 42-year-old on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

The arrests have been made in connection to the alleged murder of Malakai Ferguson-Ramson, 20, who died in Ashmore Road, Kilburn, on Tuesday, May 26.

Malakai’s family are being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation, said: “This significant arrest comes as a result of our tireless efforts to identify those responsible for the murder of Malakai. While we continue to work at pace behind the scenes, I again ask that anyone with information contacts police as a matter of urgency.

“Our thoughts remain with Malakai’s loved ones as they continue to navigate their way through this deeply upsetting time.”
