At first glance these pictures appear to show the interior of a house smashed through by a crane as the walls crumble away.
But on closer inspection the wall of the building, on Clerkenwell Road, central London, has actually been painted with 3D art giving the impression it has been sliced open.
The optical illusion was painted by community artist Nina Camplin on the side of refurbished pub Hat and Feathers.
She used a technique known as trompe l’oeil and painted a detailed view of family life taking place inside the house.
The artwork was commissioned by paint brand Valspar to mark the launch of the product in UK and Ireland.
It measures 52 ft in height and took more than 160 hours to create.
Jane Ryder of Valspar Europe said: "The reaction from the public so far has been amazing. So many people have stopped to take photographs and ask the artists about the project – it’s starting to feel like London’s latest tourist attraction."
