News | LondonNew artwork adorns Westminster Magistrates' CourtThe new artwork on Westminster Magistrates' CourtRashid RazaqCulture Correspondent11 October 2017The complexities of the justice system are brought to life in a new artwork on the front of Westminster Magistrates’ Court.Artist and blacksmith Bex Simon references the Marylebone building’s former life as a pub called the Yorkshire Stingo and a swimming baths.The 40-metre long piece also depicts the River Thames and the 02 and a song by Ben McCusker.Local schoolchildren and prisoners worked on the project. The artwork was created by blacksmith Bex SimonPrisoners from Coldingley prison in Woking, Surrey lent their help - but not at the same time as the schoolchildren.MORE ABOUTWestminster Magistrates
