Mr Draycott claims he has yet to receive any apology from Asda, despite contacting the store to identify himself as the man who had bought the bread – and he says the supermarket chain has not even refunded the cost of the six pack of bread rolls.
He told the Standard: “I am aggrieved because I phoned the supermarket to complain and get my money, and they refused to speak to me claiming it was now and investigation. This has made me very angry.
“I’d like some money back from Asda. Instead of going out in the evening I went to A&E instead, and I had to leave work early to go environmental health.
"I was in shock; I just couldn't believe a big store had let me down like that.”

An Asda spokeswoman said: "I’ve looked into this matter and can confirm that the customer reported the issue to Environmental Health who has approached Asda and is investigating the issue.
"All issues that the Environmental Health investigates are dealt with in confidence and they therefore do not share any customer details until the investigation has been resolved.
"However, if the customer would like to contact us directly, or is happy to share his details through your enquiry, we will ensure a member of our Executive Relations team is in touch immediately to resolve any queries he may have."
A council spokesperson added: “We have received a complaint and are investigating.”
