Campaigners have issued a series of demands to transport bosses designed to tackle air pollution such as a ban on all diesel powered vehicles in city centres and more funding to improve cycling infrastructure.
On the event’s Facebook page it reads: “It is time to call an end to this transport pollution genocide. Cities are for living in, not being poisoned to death.”
The group has previously staged “die-in” protests outside Transport for London’s headquarters to demand safer streets for cyclists and pedestrians.
The protest will take place at 5pm until 6.30pm.
Evening Standard has approached Department for Transport for a comment.
