Graffiti stripped from Henry Moore statue

A work by Henry Moore in Westminster is being given a makeover after decades of neglect and raids by graffiti artists.

The sculpture, Knife Edge Two Piece, was placed on Abingdon Green near the House of Lords in 1967 after being donated by Moore, who loved the spot. Experts have been carrying out a two-month project costing £16,000 which will restore the bronze to its full glory.

The Henry Moore Foundation has donated £11,000 so that the taxpayer does not bear the full cost and it will be unveiled this month.
