Before it fell into ruin, the Northcote Arms in Southall hosted top acts including Gene Vincent and Free — famous for the hit All Right Now. Last week, Ealing’s cabinet began negotiations with the freeholder, a London care home provider. Ealing council’s leader, Julian Bell, said: “We have given the owner lots of opportunities to develop the site, yet it remains an eyesore.”
