The surgical team then designed a bespoke patch to stitch over the hole, reducing the operation direction and the risk of complications.
Mina’s mother Natasha Buckley, from Bury, Greater Manchester, said: “Before the operation even her hair wasn’t growing and she had to be fed entirely through a tube.
“But now she is eating for herself, she’s not breathless and she’s turning into a normal little girl.”
