Two men have been charged over the death of a man in South London, whose body was found buried in countryside some fifty miles away.

At around 10.55pm on Thursday, 9 July, police were called to a report of a possible murder at an address on Kingfisher Court, off Queensmere Road, Wandsworth.

Officers arrived at the scene and found the property empty but concluded someone may have been harmed there and launched an investigation.

On Friday, July 10, officers attended a wooded area in Borstal, Kent where a man was sadly found deceased.

The following day, Joshua Miller, 32, of Kingfisher Court, Wandsworth was charged with murder and preventing a lawful burial. Jamie Cooper, 27, of the same address, was charged with preventing a lawful burial.

Both men have been remanded in custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 13.

Although formal identification is yet to take place, officers believe they know the identity of the victim and have contacted his next-of-kin, who are being supported by specialist officers.

The victim and the two men charged were known to each other.
