Murder charge after woman’s body found in Stockwell

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at an address in Stockwell.

Mark Alexander, 27, from Lambeth, appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and is next due to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow.

Police were called on Sunday to reports of a disturbance at an address on Clapham Road in south London.

A 26-year-old woman, since named as Azaria Williams, was pronounced dead at the scene.
