A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a young man in west London last week.

The duo, both aged 21, were detained on the morning of Sunday, July 5, and are currently in police custody.

Officers from the Met Police were called to reports of stabbing at the junction of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road, in Hounslow, at 1.47am on Tuesday, June 30.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene where they found Haruun Hassan, 22, with critical injuries. Haruun, who lived nearby, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of London Ambulance Service.

His relatives are receiving support from specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation said: “Our thoughts remain with Haruun’s family during this very difficult time.

“Our investigation is progressing and we have made two arrests, with those people now in custody.

“We continue to ask any witnesses or anyone with information about what happened to Haruun that night to please contact us as soon as possible.”
