The Crush: The Franco Brothers

We are fully fledged Francophiles. No, not the beret-and-baguette kind, the ‘OMG James Franco’s got hot brothers!’ kind. When the actor-slash-artist-slash-academic-slash-total dreamboat signed up for a second PhD, we swooned; when he sawed off his own arm in 127 Hours, we were a little bit sick, and then swooned.

But we actually died when we discovered his younger brother Dave, a chisel-jawed actor typecast as ‘himbo with a heart’ in Scrubs and the (disastrous) film 21 Jump Street, and then his other brother Tom, a beardy boho artist who runs the Firehouse Art Collective in San Francisco. These boys are without a doubt the hottest Hollywood bros since the Baldwins got old (and weird). Their mum Betsy has said: ‘From the day they were born, they were creative, curious, and unusual.’ We’re adding ‘and exceptionally handsome’ to that, Bets. Now James has a column for Playboy about ‘Space, energy and magic’, we’re hoping to hear a lot more from la famiglia Franco.
