Crush knows perfection when it sees it. And Lupita is IT. Where does one even start to dissect the talent, the looks, the personality and the flawless fashion choices that make this Oscar-winner just so damn dreamy? She’s even melted frosty editrix Anna Wintour’s heart, making it on to July’s US Vogue cover, and posing for some of the most jaw-droppingly stunning shots ever seen. In fact, we’re so overwhelmed we can only express our adoration in the form of a Buzzfeed-style listicle (also we just wanted to say ‘listicle’).

2. She wears every colour of the rainbow in a sea of red-carpet blandness. #bold

3. She is 31. You see, all you Chloë Moretzes and Elle Fannings, not everyone hot in Hollywood right now is a foetus. So reassuring.

4. Those cheekbones + that smile = pass the smelling salts.

5. She makes Pinterest boards of fashion ideas that appeal to her. So the sort of thing we do, too.

6. She keeps a granola bar in her clutch bag at awards shows. Us, too!

7. She and our other favourite person in the world, Meryl Streep, were the only celebs to dance awkwardly with Pharrell at the Oscars. So brave — Crush would only have dared to do a shoulder shimmy.

8. On Instagram she is a ray of sunshine in a haze of smugness.

9. Her performance in 12 Years a Slave made us cry for so long that we worked through some personal stuff and feel much better now, thanks.

10. She’s in the next Star Wars film. We’re not sure who she’s playing yet but clearly the Force is with her.
