In this age of celebrity overexposure, Crush can’t get enough of elusive chanteuse Kate Bush. No, literally, our overwhelming desire to know where she went on holiday, what she ate for breakfast and what she looks like with #nomakeup remains frustratingly unsatisfied. We need more Bush in our life, we really do. But — sigh — her classy low profile is a massive part of her appeal, so we hate-it-but-we-love-it-but-we-love-it-but-we-hate-it that Kate rarely gives interviews and never goes to Chiltern Firehouse.

The ‘Running Up That Hill’ singer is Crush’s favourite pop recluse (soz Sade) and we are secretly thrilled that she’s now done a Prince, banning photos and filming at her upcoming rare London gigs, saying, ‘I want to connect with you, not your iPhones.’ Obviously the urge to Instagram every millisecond at Hammersmith Apollo tonight will be enormous, but a chance to connect with the woman who taught us all our most expressive dance moves is even more appealing.
