Chiswick, on the river, with my parents. I’m kind of looking for a house; my mum keeps giving my number to estate agents.

First thing you do when you arrive back in W4?

Eat beans on toast.

Last play you saw?

Skylight at Wyndham’s Theatre. David Hare is a brilliant writer and it was the perfect play to see as a Londoner. I felt fully involved in the characters’ lives.

Favourite club?

I love going to G-A-Y on Saturdays at Heaven under Charing Cross station. It’s the best time a girl can have.

Favourite outlets?

Dover Street Market for new designers; Liberty for a champagne lunch; Burberry for classics; Rellik for vintage; Stoke Newington and St John’s Wood high streets for second-hand designer places; Selfridges for walk-in threading sessions at Blink. Foodwise, I love the black rice porridge with papaya at Nopi, and Hawksmoor does the best steak, washed down with a Gin Fizz cocktail.

Most romantic thing someone’s done for you?

Someone threw a snowball at my window once to get my attention and cracked the window.

Best place for a first date?

Life drawing class. Drawing naked people is a great ice-breaker.

Best meal you’ve had?

The Cornish monkfish at the Modern Pantry in Clerkenwell, and the avocado with poached egg on toast at the Electric Brasserie on Portobello Road.

What do you collect?

Cameras. I’ve just got a Mamiya.

Earliest memory?

Convincing my mum to take home a puppy from Harrods.

Building you’d most like to buy?

Battersea Power Station. It’s big enough to warrant quad bikes.

Best thing a cabbie has said to you?

I love a cabbie with a conspiracy theory up their sleeve.

Best place for a nightcap?

Nightjar on City Road for an Amarosa cocktail and Balans on Old Compton Street for late-night chips and a beer.

Building you’d like to be locked in overnight?

The Tower of London, so I could handle the Crown Jewels.

Favourite discoveries?

Café Kick in Exmouth Market —it’s a Spanish bar with a football table. Kenwood House for a walk. The Gore is my favourite hotel — it’s full of memories.

What are your biggest extravagances?

Taxis and phone bills.

Best advice you’ve been given?

Give people your full attention when you speak to them. Human connection trumps all phone nonsense.

Who do you call when you want to have fun?

Poppy Jamie and Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger. Otherwise I stay home and have a giggle with my sister Imogen.

Filming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies in London.

Who’s your hero?

My dad [Norman Waterhouse, a plastic surgeon]. I’ve seen him change lives through his charity Facing the World.
