Shockingly, I’m not averse to this flat-shoes-with-trousers business. I understand that sometimes there's a time and a place for no additional height: a lovely morning walk, perhaps, or a stroll on the beach. I’ve recently discovered that sand and heels don’t mix — weird. But as soon as I saw Macarena and Harvey Nichols’ amazing espadrille collaboration, I realised summer style would be easy. I love this pair; perfect for cropped trousers, and weaning me off heels.
