Where do you stay in London?
Claridge's.

Which shops do you rely on?
Harrods, because I can land my helicopter on the roof. I love Dover Street Market for the individuality it encourages. I stock up on my favourite British food at Fortnum & Mason, and always find treasures at Liberty. I also like to scour Portobello Market for artefacts for my homes around the world.

What's the best meal you've had in London?
The fish at Cipriani is amazing.

What's your earliest London memory?
Arriving in the late 1960s and being inspired by the free spirit and unique style, and, of course, the beautiful British women.

What advice would you give a tourist coming to London?
Expect the unexpected.

What are your guilty pleasures?
Life should be one big guilty pleasure.

What are you most afraid of?
Losing someone I love.

What's your life philosophy?
Follow your dreams, your inspirations and your instincts. The rest will fall into place.

What animal would you most like to be?
A tiger. Fascinating, cunning, beautiful; they pursue what they want until they get it.

What was the last album you bought?
My son Daniele introduced me to Rihanna's new album Loud, which is fantastic.

What are you up to at the moment?
Taking photos, gathering inspirations, travelling, working, spending time with my family. I can never predict what is next for me.

Which is your favourite London shopping street?
Sloane Street. It has everything you need, including a Cavalli boutique.

What do you most like wearing?
A pair of jeans with a fitted shirt or sweater, a pair of my sunglasses and a fantastic pair of Italian leather shoes always works for me.

Where's the most romantic place in London?
The top of Primrose Hill, overlooking the entire city at dusk.

What are your favourite London discoveries?
The gardens around Little Venice are a sensational example of how beautiful nature can be in the middle of a city.

Where did you last go on holiday?
I travelled around Indonesia last spring for inspiration. I recently enjoyed some winter sun and visited friends, including Jennifer Lopez, in Miami. I spend a lot of time in Cannes, where I opened my first store in the 1970s. I moor my yacht RC on the Riviera for the film festival and have great parties on board. Sharon Stone, Mariah Carey and Beyoncé have all stayed on my boat.
